Angela Simmons Gave Emotional Speech At Michael Williams’ Sentencing

According to TMZ, Angela gave an emotional speech in court on Friday, explaining that her 5-year-old son constantly asks when his dad will return home. She also expressed that her son will never know what it’s like to grow up with his father.

Williams was sentenced to life for m*rder and was hit with an additional 15 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted fe-lon. He’ll reportedly be eligible for par-ole after serving a minimum of 30 years behind bars.

As we previously reported, authorities found Tennyson in his garage with multiple g*nshot wounds in 2018. He was reportedly speaking with a man in his driveway when an in-tense argument ensued, and g*nshots rang out. Witnesses all-eged they saw a man speed away in a car after shots were fired.

Williams turned himself into the Atlanta Police Department in December 2020. He was charged with m*rder, agg-ravated assault with a deadly w*apon, and possession of a firea*m during the commission of a fe-lony. Despite Williams turning himself over to the police, his att-orney maintained his innocence at the time.

Angela Simmons Touched On Sutton Tennyson’s Death

Angela previously opened up about having difficult conversations with her son Sutton Jr. about the loss of his father. During a 2020 episode of ‘Growing Up Hip-Hop,’ Angela recalled her baby boy asking if his dad was alive.

I was with my son, and super emotional right, even to talk about it. He was looking out the window and he’s like, ‘Daddy, white car. I question him, ‘Where do you see him?’ or ‘Who is Daddy? What does he look like?’ I’m asking him. I’m like, ‘Do you want to see your dad?’ and he’s like, ‘Yes.’ So he comes over and I start showing him videos and pictures and stuff, and he stopped. It’s not like he’s full conversational yet, so this is what kind of makes it emotional. He was like, ‘Is he alive?’”

She explained to Sutton Jr. that his daddy is “in Heaven with God.”

Please keep Angela and Sutton’s loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.
